The chart-topping singer took to Instagram today to thank fans for their support after revealing she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Taking to Twitter, Bebe Rexha explained that she was “not ashamed anymore” before adding that she didn’t want people to feel sorry for her.
The 29-year-old told her 1.32million followers: “For the longest time, I didn’t understand why I felt so sick.
“Why I felt lows that made me not want to leave my house or be around people and why I felt highs that wouldn’t let me sleep, wouldn’t let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why.”
She continued: “I’m bipolar and I’m not ashamed anymore. That is all. (Crying my eyes out.)”
Looking to the future, Bebe added: “This next album will be my favourite album ever because I’m not holding anything back.
“I love you all very much. And I hope you accept me as I am.”
The Last Hurrah songstress has been very vocal about her health struggles in the past, particularly when it comes to body image.
In February this year, she hit out at designers who refused to dress her for the awards show due to her “too big” size 8 frame.
Bebe was nominated for two awards, Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Taking to Instagram to vent her frustration, she explained: “If a size 6/8 is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you.
“I don’t want to wear your f*****g dresses because that’s crazy.
“You’re saying all the women in the world that are a size 8 and up are not beautiful and they cannot wear your dresses.”
Thankfully, several designers then offered to work with her on a dress and she ended up wearing an eye-catching Monsoori gown.
