Fans have noticed something odd about Piers Morgan ‘s recent hospital visit.
The Good Morning Britain host shocked his followers on Friday when he posted a picture of himself in hospital.
And although it has been confirmed he will be back on the ITV daytime show on Monday, his mystery medical drama has come under question.
One person accused the the former newsman, 53, of faking it for a "publicity stunt" as he appeared to still be wearing his clothes underneath his hospital robe.
"Why has Piers Morgan got a hospital gown on with his own clothes underneath, publicity stunt??" they pointed out.
The Mirror Online revealed that the telly host’s medical drama won’t affect his TV duties and he will be lifting the lid in an announcement on the show after the weekend.
An insider told us: "He’s going to be back on Good Morning Britain as usual on Monday.
"He is going to update viewers then."
The telly host shared the selfie from his sick bed after suffering a mystery medical emergency.
He didn’t reveal any details about his condition, but insisted it’s not serious.
Piers wrote: "Bad news: I’m not dying.
"I can only apologise for all the distress I know this will cause some people."
He was seen lying on a bed with a tube hooked up to his nose in the picture.
Piers has yet to reveal any more details about his condition but fans have flocked to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
One wrote: "Get well soon pal".
Another added: "Get better soon Piers, we miss you!"
A third commented: "Hope your okay get well soon ."
However, many fans couldn’t help but make cheeky jokes about the crisis, asking Piers whether his recent encounter with a vegan sausage roll was to blame.
The Good Morning Britain presenter has been vehemently opposed to the new vegetarian snacks introduced at Greggs stores.
He even spat out the vegan treat while trying it on live TV this week.
One follower wrote on the star’s Instagram page: "Is this from that vegan sausage roll ."
Another added: "Was it the Vegan sausage roll?"
