Soccer star Jamie Vardy has a new WAG to join Rebekah – a designer guard dog to protect his family and home.
Jamie and Rebekah bought the Doberman named Marco to protect their sprawling £1.25million home and extensive gardens.
The mansion was targeted two years ago while Leicester striker Jamie, 31, was away playing for England at Euro 2016 and Becky was home alone with their children.
Now Marco has joined the team and the family have taken to him instantly.
Becky, 36, posted pictures from home calling him a “gorgeous boy”.
It is understood the former I’m a Celebrity star and Jamie – who have five kids between them – decided to get Marco after being alerted to suspicious activity on a number of occasions.
At the time of the 2016 scare, a source close to the couple said: “It wasn’t the first time they had seen a van pull up and men looking through the bushes and over the wall.”
The security-conscious couple turned to Chaperone K9, which supplies dogs to Premier League stars – training puppies to provide security and be loving family pets too.
Jamie is one of England’s top strikers and helped Leicester – The Foxes – win the Premier League in 2016.
News of his new signing Marco comes a week after we told how Chaperone K9 had supplied Man City and England star Raheem Sterling, 23, with a £15,000 guard dog. The rottweiler, Okan, is protecting Raheem’s £2million pile in the Cheshire countryside.
The company also provided West Ham’s Andy Carroll, 29, with two Cane Corsos – Italian mastiffs – after the striker was threatened by gangs two years ago and was victim of a carjacking attempt.
