Bienvenidos a Miami. Caroline Vreeland, the blonde beauty and granddaughter of Harper’s Bazaar’s iconic fashion editor Diana Vreeland, is taking us on a food tour through the beachside city’s most delicious hot spots.
From clean avocado toast and organic green juice, to decadent Neapolitan brick oven pizza and fresh pasta topped with mushroom ragu—Bazaar‘s legacy turned cool-girl influencer walks us through everything she eats in a day.
A self-proclaimed “buttered croissant kind-of girl,” the most important meal of the day includes a pastry with a side of crushed avocado toast, washed down with a superfood-packed green smoothie, plus the juice of a freshly-severed coconut—very Miami.
Stanzione 87 is Vreeland’s go-to spot for pizza lunch, admitting she’s a two-to-three-times-a-week regular (as evidenced by her Instagram). The mouthwateringly light authentic Neapolitan dough is hand-stretched by restaurant co-owners Franco and Ashley, and topped with only the freshest ingredients before being gently charred inthe wood-fire oven. Upholding Mediterranean tradition, Vreeland sips a glass of red while enjoying her salami slice.
The evening brings us to Vreeland’s boyfriend’s restaurant, Ariete, where she’s joined by some friends for a gourmet dining experience. As a VIP, our host deviates from the menu options, requesting a chef-crafted seasonal pasta dish. The table’s swiftly covered in with tequila sodas, seared scallops, swordfish, tuna conserva, venison tartare, and Vreeland’s personalized spaghetti served with a mushroom truffle reduction. A fitting nightcap for our food-filled extravaganza.
