Jordan Rodgers fired back at estranged brother Aaron’s ex-girlfriend, Olivia Munn, after “The Newsroom” star detailed the rift within the Rodgers family.
“I’ll say I have no idea why she’s still talking about an ex, I don’t get that,” the SEC Network analyst told Us Weekly on Wednesday.
Munn, 37, who split from the Packers quarterback last spring after three years of dating, addressed the frosty relationship between Aaron, 34, and his family in May during an appearance on Sirius XM’s “Andy Cohen Live.”
“My last day on ‘The Newsroom’ I spent my day in a trailer just encouraging him to have an open conversation with his parents, and they had a really nice conversation and then they started coming out my first year in Green Bay in 2014,” Munn said.
The reconciliation appeared to be short-lived as Jordan, 29, revealed bits and pieces of the family feud while competing on “The Bachelorette” in 2016.
“I have a great relationship with my [older] brother, Luke. Me and Aaron don’t really have much of a relationship,” Jordan told future fiancée JoJo Fletcher on the show.
While Munn has long been speculated to be at the center of the Rodgers family soap opera, the actress believes Aaron’s superstar status complicated matters.
“I do believe family and fame and success can be really complicated if their dreams are connected to your success,” Munn said. “They [the Rodgers family] are all into sports and Aaron is one of the best, if not the best, quarterbacks to play the game. Their work has a direct connection to what he does.
“There’s a lot of complications. I don’t think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it’s not OK if you try to stand on someone’s shoulders, then throw dirt in their face, that’s what I think.”
Despite the current estrangement, Jordan hopes to reconnect with Aaron before he walks down the aisle.
“There’s no scenario in which I wouldn’t want my entire family at my wedding,” Jordan previously stated. “That’s something all of our family wants and hopes for at this point.”
