Top collectors gathered in Aspen, Colo., at a talk by Chinese activist artist Ai Weiwei and Guggenheim curator Alexandra Munroe.
Spotted at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center’s standing-room-only event were Steve Wynn, Don and Mera Rubell, Domenico and Eleanore De Sole, Larry Fields and Sarah Arison.
Weiwei advised any artists in the crowd, which also included Anderson Ranch students and instructors, “Know less, care more!”
On his varied works — including a new documentary on immigration, “Human Flow” — the artist cryptically mused, “I am a cow, rather than different cuts of meat.”
