Ariana Grande will pay final tribute to Aretha Franklin as one of a number of superstar singers who will perform at the Queen of Soul’s funeral on Friday.
Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp and Vanessa Bell Armstrong are also set to perform.
Former President Bill Clinton, Rev. Jesse Jackson and Smokey Robinson will speak on the occasion.
Franklin’s family was moved by Grande’s emotional tribute performance to the legendary singer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after her death.
The iconic singer, who has long been suffering from cancer, died at 76 in Detroit on August 16. She will be laid to rest at Greater Grace Temple in the city.
Franklin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010. Despite undergoing surgery and frequent illness, she performed on stage regularly, as recently as last year.
