“Bachelor” Arie Luyendyk Jr. and fiancée Lauren Burnham are ready to get “Maui’d.”
Over the weekend, Burnham, 25, was celebrated with a Hawaiian-themed bridal shower, complete with a slew of sweets, including ring-shaped treats and cookies featuring the couple’s wedding date: January 12, 2019.
In May, Luyendyk, 36, announced he and Burnham would wed at Maui’s Haiku Mill, opting to keep the ceremony intimate with about 100 guests expected to be in attendance.
“It’s a private wedding, so not on TV,” said the polarizing “Bachelor” star.
Luyendyk’s engagement to Burnham has been filled with controversy. After proposing to Becca Kufrin on “The Bachelor” earlier this year, he later called off the engagement, documenting the cringe-worthy breakup on-camera.
“You shouldn’t have gotten down on one knee,” Kufrin told Luyendyk.
Luyendyk later popped the question to Burnham in front of a studio audience.
“The best decision was running back to you,” Luyendyk told Burnham. “You have showed me a love that is patient, a love that is kind. I should have done this a long time ago.”
As for Kufrin, this year’s “Bachelorette” found her soulmate in controversial contestant Garrett Yrigoyen, whose social media history was unearthed following the show’s spring premiere. The two aren’t rushing to the altar.
