Gareth Bale stole the show on Saturday night as he bagged a brace to help inspire Real Madrid to Champions League victory over Liverpool.
The 28-year-old started on the bench but came on to score an incredible overhead kick before seeing his long range effort slip through Loris Karius’s gloves.
However, prior to kick-off, fans noticed something about the Welshman – he didn’t participate in the warm up.
Spectators began tweeting in concern after Bale was missing and not preparing with the rest of the substitutes.
However, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague quickly moved to provide an explanation and tweeted: "Bale never comes out for warming up when he is not starting and warms up differently to the rest of substitutes."
It appears his method of warming up differently worked a treat as he went on to lead Los Blancos to a historic third consecutive Champions League trophy.
