After being left out of Spain’s World Cup squad, Hector Bellerin is enjoying his summer.
The Arsenal defender has taken a trip to the Canadian Grand Prix and Sky Sports picked him out as he mingled with his friends close to the Mercedes garage.
Well, so we thought.
The cameras fixed on Bellerin, wearing an open shirt and rose-coloured sunglasses, ahead of the race in Montreal…but F1 presenter Ted Kravitz didn’t have a clue who he was.
“Some hipsters around here with shaved hair and shorts and cool rose-coloured glasses," a bemused Kravitz said as Bellerin looked into the camera.
“He looks quite cool, that guy in the singlet, doesn’t he? Right, sorry, I got distracted by the hipsters.”
Bellerin appeared sheepish and moved out of shot as Kravitz continued his report.
Sky Sports’ F1 presenter was made aware of his gaffe on Twitter before responding: "Should have asked if he shops in Holloway Road Waitrose."
Bellerin endured a difficult season last term, leading to speculation he could leave Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners have swooped for fellow right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner but Bellerin has been handed the No.2 shirt for next season.
