“Hi Baby Girl: Every day I hold you close to my heart. I think about so many of the things you used to do, from a little girl to a beautiful young lady,” Brown wrote. “I just smile! It reminds me of how much I miss my little girl more and more every day. So loved and so missed.”

“In keeping the flame burning, our family has started The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House foundation that is doing great things to help others in need, the way you would have if you were here,” he continued. “Krissi, on this special day, we honor you, we love you and we shine a light on your memory.”

According to its website, the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House is a non-profit Domestic Violence Safe Haven founded by Bobby Brown in 2015. It was “formed and fueled by the love of a father whose daughter was a victim of domestic violence.”

Before her death, Bobbi Kristina had been found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home and had been in a coma for six months. Autopsy results said her death was caused by lobar pneumonia, which was due to her face being “in water complicating mixed drug intoxication” and “Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy” (brain damage that results from a lack of oxygen).

Bobbi Kristina had been in an off and on relationship (and reportedly abusive) with her longtime boyfriend, Nick Gordon.
