Even though members of the Spears family were conspicuously left off the guest list for Britney Spears’ wedding to Sam Asghari this week, that doesn’t mean they weren’t celebrating vicariously via social media with the rest of us not-invited masses.
Brit’s mom, Lynne Spears, even hopped in the comment section of one of the singer’s Instagram posts about the big day (specifically a gallery post full of pictures that showcased what a living fairytale the event was, from the newlyweds’ very romantic balcony kiss to the Cinderella-esque horse-drawn carriage) to share some love.

“You look radiant and so happy!” Lynne wrote in her comment. “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
Lynne and any other curious members of the Spears fam have been able to get a decent idea of what Britney and Sam’s wedding was like, thanks to the ample documentation of the day on social media. Brit has personally shared what can best be described as a whole damn slew of pics from the ceremony and reception and, in her typically candid fashion, has also offered plenty of insight into how she was feeling on the big day, too.
“Wow !!! Holy holy crap !!! WE DID IT !!! WE GOT MARRIED 👰🏼♀️ !!!” she wrote in one such caption of candid-ness. “Gggggeeeeezzzzz !!! It was the most spectacular day !!! I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me … WE’RE GETTING MARRIED 💍 !!! I had a panic attack and then got it together 🙄🙄 🙄 … the crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic !!! The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better 🎉 !!! So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock 😱 !!! @drewbarrymore my girl crush and @selenagomez who btw is way prettier in person if that’s possible both came !!!
