Charles ‘dotes’ on all his grandchildren but one brings out his ‘fun’ side

King Charles III might be inundated with grandchildren; Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Princess Lilibet, Prince Louis and Prince Archie, but only one is said to bring out the monarch's playful side.

This is according to body language expert Judi James, who recently suggested to that despite his frosty relationship with son Prince Harry, he still dotes on all of his grandkids.

And yet there is still "one in particular" who appears to inspire his deepest affection, as she explained: "Louis seems to have been named after Charles' much-adored uncle Louis Mountbatten but he seems to have inherited his cheeky, spontaneously playful and affectionate traits from his own uncle, Harry."

Apparently, there's now just two members of the royal family traditionally at the receiving end of the King's public displays of love.

"Zara Tindall has always been relaxed and hugely demonstrative with uncle Charles in public and Charles clearly adores being on the receiving end of her hugs and very affectionate displays," revealed Judi.

"Louis looks like the other member of the family that treats Charles just like any other grandpa, no matter who and how many cameras are watching."

The body language specialist, who claimed that Prince Harry is 'acting like a teenager who's given up' the quest to reconcile with his father just last month, went on to highlight how these close bonds with both Louis, 4, and Zara, 41, express a rarely seen side to Charles in the public eye.

"As a result, both Zara and Louis bring out some of the best body language in Charles, with Louis in particular able to give the King the gift of looking openly affectionate and more down-to-earth than normal."

His relationship with Louis is often facilitated by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cornwall, who really appreciates their granddad-grandson dynamic.

"Kate seems to realise this and there was one very iconic moment when she held baby Louis out towards Charles in a gesture that appeared to also suggest some thawing of the frost that had settled between William and his father," commented Judi.

"Charles responded tentatively but the way his face was wreathed in wrinkles of pleasure spoke volumes."

Elsewhere on the King's agenda, it's been reported that Harry and wife Meghan Markle have just weeks to respond if they wish to attend his coronation in May.

A source told The Express: "They’re on the list and planning is well underway to make sure the proceedings run as smooth as possible – without any drama".

This follows the release of Harry's earth-shaking memoir, Spare, and the couple's Netflix docuseries that premiered just before Christmas – both causing great alarm within The Firm.
