Craig Revel-Horwood says Stacey and Kevin a ‘blessing’ for Strictly

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel-Horwood has claimed that the alleged romance between Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton is 'a blessing'.

The 54-year-old judge, who is known for his wicked turn of phrase , has praised the coupling of Stacey and Kevin after they won the Glitterball Trophy before Christmas.

There have been rumours that 32-year-old BBC documentary maker Stacey, had been romancing her professional dance partner Kevin, 36, throughout the Strictly tour.

Stacey's ex Sam Tucknott is reportedly 'heartbroken' after their break-up.

Kevin has been dubbed a 'slimy snake' by Sam, but Craig has hailed those who find love on the dance show, saying the new relationships should be celebrated.

Speaking about Stacey and Kevin, Craig said: "I hope they live happily ever after.

"It will be another Strictly success story. I never call it the Strictly curse, I call it the Strictly blessing. People need to fall in love.”

The former dancer has been in his native Australia, judging on Dancing With The Stars in Australia, and he has expressed who he would like to replace Darcey Bussell on the judging panel and it's not Anton Du Beke.

Craig has put his all into the BBC turning to either former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger or Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta.

While backing them, Craig has decided not to give his blessing for Anton to make the journey from dance floor to judge's chair.

Craig said that he "got on so well" with Darcey but has also stated that "change is good."

Speaking about Nicole joining the team, Craig enthused: "She’d be fabulous."

He added that while Anton Du Beke "definitely wants to do it," he has declared: "I’d love to see Nicole, or Carlos Acosta."
