Danielle Lloyd lashes out at gender selection critics and vows to pay for a girl

Danielle Lloyd has defiantly told her critics she will seek gender selection IVF in America when she has her next baby, insisting that if she’s able to pay for it, she might as well have her much-wanted little girl.

The 34-year-old model, who welcomed her fourth son Ronnie in September 2017, has an overwhelming "urge" for a daughter after having three boys with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara and her latest with fiance Michael O’Neill.

She opened up about the level of abuse she’s got for her outspoken views, revealing one woman has even asked her to donate her eggs as she’s unable to have children of her own.

"They called me a ‘selfish, disgusting b***h’ who should be thankful for my four miracle babies," she told the Daily Mail.

"I’m very honest and don’t beat around the bush, but I didn’t expect the amount of vitriol.

"I didn’t even think I had said anything that bad, but I admit that perhaps I didn’t really think about it that much."

She and Michael, who are due to marry in 2019, are now planning to fly out to California and spend £12,000 – excluding flights and hotels – so Danielle can have her eggs harvested, fertilised and checked for their biological sex, then implanted into her womb.

The practice is illegal in the UK and widely condemned by the World Health Organisation, because in other parts of the world sons are considered more highly valued than daughters.

"I want a girl and if I can pay for it, then that’s OK, I can get one," she vowed.

"There’s an urge inside me to have a girl. I just can’t let it go."

Danielle said she wants the stereotypical mother-daughter bond with her future child, and doesn’t understand why anyone would degrudge her that.

"If I’m going to have one more, if this science is there, why not do it? I don’t think it’s a selfish thing to do. I could be selfish and go on for years having more and more boys," she went on.

"The thought of not going to my daughter’s wedding or not having those chats I have with my mum. Girls always have that relationship with their mothers."

Danielle was recently pictured with a pregnancy test and addressed rumours she is already expecting.

"We did think I was pregnant," she admitted in June.

"But I have polycystic ovaries and then endometriosis when I’m ovulating, which makes me swell up so I look and feel like I’m pregnant."

Last year, Danielle revealed she would want to get pregnant again soon.

"If we did have another one I’d like it quite soon, I wouldn’t want to be pregnant at 40 and it’s nice for the kids to be close in age," she added.
