Danny Dyer’s emotional message to Dani ahead of big Love Island milestone

Danny Dyer has admitted he is missing his "baby girl" while she is on Love Island.

The EastEnders actor’s daughter Dani is a contestant on the ITV2 reality show, which started three weeks ago.

He posted a message on Twitter saying: "I know she’s doing well….holding her own and all that b******s…

"But It’s gotta be declared…I proper miss my baby girl now… #firstborn #Dani #loveisland."

But fans rushed to reassure Dani’s dear old dad that his little girl is doing great on the show.

"She’s doing you proud Geez. Soundest one in there, and with a good dude to be fair," one fan commented.

"She is proper doing you proud mate brilliant role model for all girls," another added.

"She is the most genuine amd down to earth girl in there, deffo the winner," a third fan tweeted.

The EastEnders hardman’s timing seems suspicious as tonight pen pusher Jack finally plucks up the courage to ask Dani to become his girlfriend.

In scenes off camera Dani admits Jack will never have top spot in her affections – as her dad Danny will always win out.

In a touching moment in the beach hut Jack explains he doesn’t want to just go out with barmaid Dani for six months – he wants their relationship to go the distance.

Jack confides in close friends Adam and Eyal that he wants to raise the subject of making Dani his girlfriend, whilst also expressing his doubts he doesn’t want this big step to jeopardise what they already have.

“Basically I wanted to speak to you two because I’ll be honest with you, I really feel like I want Dani to be my girlfriend. I do. I just feel like I’ve got to that stage now where I do want to leave here with her. I feel like I want that to happen. But sometimes when you put a label on it, it can ruin things can’t it? That’s what I’m worried about.”

In the beach hut he adds: “The next girl I want to be my girlfriend, I don’t want it to be for six months or a year. I’ve done all that now, it’s boring. The next person I want to go with, I want to make them happy and I want to be with them so it’s a big, massive decision. Not for me, I know how I feel but for her, do you know what I mean?

“It’s so nerve wracking because where we’ve got something so good now. We’ve got something so good now. I want to speak to her, just have a chat with her about feelings. And then if it feels right, I’ll ask her.”

Finally mustering the courage to approach Dani, he takes her to the outside beds and makes his heartfelt declaration.

Earlier Jack explained the depth of his feelings to Dani: “You mean more to me now. Before I knew I really liked you, but this time it’s different. I told you, I’ve really got feelings for you. Honestly, I meant it. I mean it. I really do feel like it’s the start of something with us two. Yeah, I do.”

"It’s weird how I’ve got to this stage where I’m even thinking about wanting to meet your mum and dad and making a good impression. You are their daughter and I want them to like me because I’ll be spending loads of time with you. So I want them to go ‘he’s alright’.”

Dani says: “I definitely think they’ll like you, there’s no reason to not like you, is there?”

In the Beach Hut, Dani insists that her dad will always take first place over her relationship with Jack: “I hope my dad’s happy. Me and my dad, we’re still going to go for sushi and that. Because Jack doesn’t like that. My dad’s got my first place in my heart. And Jack can have the second.”
