Britain’s Got Talent 2018: Dec Donnelly confuses fans by offering microphone to winner Lost Voice Guy in VERY awkward mistake

Dec Donnelly baffled fans when he offered his microphone to BGT winner Lost Voice Guy, who suffers from cerebral palsy which renders him unable to speak, on Sunday.

The presenter, 42, tried to rectify his mistake by swiftly moving the device away from Lee Ridley, 37, after seemingly forgetting the comedian can’t talk.

Yet the awkward television blunder wasn’t lost on eagle-eyed viewers who freely expressed their unease at the mistake on social media.

‘Feel kind of bad for Dec putting the mic out so the Lost Voice Guy could speak,’ one fan wrote, leading the troops on Twitter.

Dec made the fault after crowning Lee the winner but he realised his error when the winner started playing his answers to the presenter’s questions via his iPad.

Using his voice synthesizer to talk about his win, the comedian couldn’t resist making a joke about having the opportunity to perform for the Queen.

‘I’m very excited to perform in front of the Queen. I’ve loved her since she sang Bohemian Rhapsody.’

Fans were left cringing following the slip-up on television and they shared their thoughts on social media.
