The legendary Dick Van Dyke proved he could still act, sing, and dance in a new music video starring and directed by his second wife – Arlene Silver – in honor of Valentine’s Day.
At 96, the national treasure is 46 years older than the former make-up artist, but the May-December duo will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on February 29.
Arlene and barbershop trio the Vantastix kicked off the cheery cover of Everybody Loves a Lover, a Richard Adler and Robert Allen song made popular by Doris Day in 1958.

Silver then threw it to Dick, who sang a verse from his chair before getting up to show his moves at Fallen Fruit’s colorful SUPERSHOW art installation in Los Angeles.
‘It’s my favorite thing to do,’ Van Dyke told Parade in 2013 of singing with the Vantastix since 2020.
‘It’s kind of my retirement amusement. I don’t play golf. I have more fun singing and dancing.’
The four-time great-grandfather – who’s only an Oscar away from elite EGOT status – has pretty good genes considering his mother Hazel passed away, age 95, in 1994 and he smoked for 50 years.

Dick originally met his Bronx-born, LA-raised beloved when she was 39 and working at the 13th Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2007 where he presented Julie Andrews with a lifetime achievement award.
‘It’s one of the smartest moves I ever made,’ Van Dyke told Parade.
‘She makes me happy. She’s very mature for her age, and I’m very immature for my age, so it’s just about right!’
Everybody Loves a Lover also featured Tony Guerrero on jazz trumpet.

The Midwesterner has four children – son Barry, 70; son Christian, daughter Stacy, and daughter Carrie, 60 – from his 30-year marriage to the late Margie Willett, which ended in 1984 after a six-year separation.
And Dick lived with singer-dancer Michelle Triola from 1976 until her death in 2009 from lung cancer.
Last May, Van Dyke received the 43rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors, joking to The Mirror: ‘I just turned 95, so I’m happy to be anywhere. Had I known I’d live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself.’

In 2018, Dick planned on coming out of retirement to play Navy veteran James Archer in Ryan Little’s paintball comedy Capture The Flag, produced by his 70-year-old son Barry, but it never materialized.
Van Dyke is probably best known for his memorable roles in The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-66), Mary Poppins (1964), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) and, most recently, Mary Poppins Returns (2018).
