The ‘Welcome to the Party’ DJ appears to imply that Justin and Post are ‘hip-hop’ version of the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor.
DJ Diplo didn’t waste the opportunity to troll Justin Bieber and rapper Post Malone on Friday, June 29. The “Color Blind” hitmaker took to Instagram to comment on Post’s recent picture with Justin, which was taken when the Canadian heartthrob attended the rapper’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl. “The trap Matthew McConaughey,” Diplo jokingly wrote on the comment section.
Apparently, the “Welcome to the Party” DJ implied that Justin and Post were “trap” or “hip-hop” version of the “Dallas Buyers Club” actor. The picture sees the”What Do You Mean” singer donning a bright blue, flower-patterned shirt and a white head scarf at the event. In the photo, the “Sorry” singer also sported a mustache, which made him look like Matthew in comedy film “Dazed and Confused” while Post’s look resembled the actor’s on his crime drama series “True Detective“.
The comment section was filled with more comments about Bieb’s look. “Justin Bieber could totally play a hippie and a movie or maybe Matthew McConaughey son and a hippie movie like a new day dazed and Confused,” a fan agreed with Diplo’s comment. “Why Justin lookin like David Spade,” an individual wrote, thinking that Justin looked more like the “Grown Ups” actor. “Justin looks like Flanders from ‘The Simpsons‘,” another one added.
Diplo didn’t only troll Justin and Post though. Back in February, he also trolled another celebrity, Kim Kardashian, on Twitter and Instagram. The music producer transformed himself into Kim by wearing a blonde wig, while he’s topless. He then posed for some pictures before posting them on his social media platforms. The style was based on Kim’s look on Kanye West‘s Yeezy Season 6 campaign. However, Kim liked it as she retweeted Diplo’s picture with laughing emojis.
After done trolling Kanye and Kim, the DJ continued his action on March 16. He made fun of pop-country singer Taylor Swift by posting “Delicate” music video parody on his Instagram account. He wore a long blonde wig again and mimicked Taylor’s movements in the real music video. “I’m delicate,” he captioned it.
Diplo and Taylor aren’t in good terms after Diplo made fun of her in an interview with The Rolling Stone in 2017.
