Dolly Parton‘s Dixie Pixie Productions are teaming up with Warner Bros. Television to create a film series around eight of her legendary songs, and they are currently looking for extras to appear in the series.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, they are currently in search of extras for five different roles.
“Caucasian men between the ages of 18-26 who are clean shaven and willing to get a period haircut” are being considered for the role of WWII soldiers. Caucasian men between the ages of 18-26 who are real amputees who are clean-shaven and willing to receive a period haircut are being sought to portray war amputees. African-American men age 35 and up who are also clean shaven and willing to get a period haircut will play diner staff. Anyone cast for these roles must be available on September 13 for filming.
Caucasian men and women over the age of 18 can also apply to act as 1940s townsfolk. Anyone cast in these roles must be available September 11-13, 20-21 and 24-25.
