After the festival kicked off on Thursday, things will come to a head during Saturday’s race – which is the 175th annual running.
Rachael Blackmore’s mount Ain’t That A Shame is one of the favourites to bag the win during the race, after becoming the first woman to win the National in 2021.
Kicking off at 17:15, a field of 39 will contest the 175th running of the famous race, hoping to nab the title.
And Dominic’s sporting appearance is a slight change of scenery from his recent duties filming The Crown in London.

In addition to being snapped filming for the series, Dominic has also been making public appearances alongside his wife Catherine Fitzgerald – defying rumours of turbulence in the relationship.
He hit headlines in 2020 after being pictured looking cosy with actress Lily James in Rome.
Following the snaps emerging, Dominic put on a public display of unity with Catherine, with the couple releasing a statement about their marriage.
It read: ‘Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together.’
Catherine is also said to have banned Dominic from speaking with the actress as part of a peace deal struck between the couple.
Lily herself appeared to break her silence on the scandal surrounding her snaps with Dominic while promoting her Hulu series Pam & Tommy, admitting she sympathised with Pamela Anderson after finding herself in a ‘difficult situation.’
