Drake just delivered a scathing lawsuit to the woman who claims he knocked her up.
In the docs, the God’s Plan rapper says Layla Lace lied about being pregnant with his child and, later, about her claims that he raped her during their one night stand in February 2017.
According to the suit, the two met during Drake’s Boy Meets World tour in Manchester, England, and allegedly hooked up in his hotel room where they had consensual sex. For posterity, he added that “Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex.”
But after he ghosted her, Drake says Layla went ballistic and created a “fantasy relationship” with him as the weeks went on. Layla first claimed she was pregnant in April 2017 in an Instagram post, then went on SiriusXM later that month and announced that she was indeed carrying Drake’s child.
When her pregnancy plan fell through, the suit claims Layla switched tactics and went to authorities to accuse Drake of raping her. The rapper was allegedly interviewed by Manchester police and ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing, but Layla wasn’t done yet. The Toronto native claims she then demanded millions of dollars in exchange for silence.
Now, the tables have turned. Drake is suing his former lover for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, defamation, and abuse of process. He is asking for unspecified damages.
