Prosecutors have dropped the felony gun charge against rapper Plies after the Florida singer was arrested at Tampa international airport for accidentally bringing a concealed weapon.
According to TMZ, the rapper’s felony charge was dropped after he completed a concealed weapons course. Prosecutors also confirmed that Plies had obtained a valid concealed firearms permit.
In September, Plies was arrested at Tampa international airport after he accidentally brought a concealed weapon, a Glock 43 and a loaded magazine with him. The rapper was trying to board a Delta flight when TSA agents subjected him to a security screening.
Carrying a concealed weapon in Florida is a felony charge that could lead to five years in prison.
Sources close to Plies tell TMZ he grabbed the wrong bag by mistake. This is the second time he has been arrested this year.
