Liverpool produced a stunning performance to blow away Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday night – and no one inside Anfield was happier than Steven Gerrard.
A Sadio Mane tap-in was sandwiched between Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino braces as the Reds won 5-2.
As a pundit for BT Sport, Gerrard was forced to watch the semi-final first leg from the confines of the studio – but that didn’t stop him celebrating.
And when Mane scored to put Liverpool 3-0 up nothing was going to stop Gerrard cheering, including his dinner.
In BT Sport’s latest No Filter episode, a behind the scenes look at Tuesday night’s game, Gerrard and his fellow pundits can all be seen tucking into a spot of food as Mane scores.
The Liverpool legend holds his plate with one hand while fist pumping with the other…and probably screaming with a mouthful of food.
Following the game, Gerrard discussed Salah, he told BT Sport : "He’s in the form of his life.
"It’s difficult to compare him to your Ronaldos and Messis because they’ve done it for so long and they’ve been consistent year in, year out.
"But, without a shadow of a doubt, he is the best player on the planet right now."
