Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet, 32, quit Twitter and deleted her account after seemingly receiving abuse on the microblogging site. However, it appears the daughter of legendary F1 driver Nelson Piquet is ready to give social media another go, as she has now reactivated her account.

On October 19, Kelly tweeted for the first time since the end of December 2019. She wrote, “Let’s give this thing another try…”

There were quite a few responses that were related to Verstappen before Kelly left the site, alongside comments that related to his ongoing rivalry with the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton.

Despite the ongoing tension between the drivers, many followers welcomed Kelly back to Twitter, while some also warned her off returning.

@verstapez typed: “Take care with the comments, Twitter can be super fun but extremely toxic at the same time, different from Instagram toxicity but there nonetheless. hope you have fun queen!”

@LenaValee said: “Oh Kelly welcome back but good luck with everything here.”

@manishc9120467 replied: “@KellyPiquet Leave this app before its too late.”

The Formula 1 star, 23, confirmed his relationship with stunning model Kelly at the beginning of this year on Instagram.

She dated Daniil Kvyat for three years before their relationship came to an end in 2019.

The model, who was born in Germany, has one child with the 26-year-old Russian driver.

But the 32-year-old is now dating Verstappen – who took Kvyat’s spot at Red Bull in 2016.

In the snap shared with his 3.9 million followers, the pair could be seen cuddling up to each other on a beach.

The caption read: “Happy New Year everyone. Let’s make 2021 a year to remember in many ways. Wish you all success, love and happiness just as I found mine.”

Kelly simply commented with a love heart emoji on Verstappen’s snap.

She also shared a snap with the Formula 1 star alongside a heartfelt caption.

It read: “Love is what makes the world go round. Happy new year and much love.”

Verstappen – who split from long-term partner Dilara Sanlik in October – made his F1 debut in 2015.

He then pinched Kvyat’s spot at Red Bull just one year later, which came as a shock to the Russian.

Speaking at the time, he said: “We had 20 minutes of talking and I wanted to have an explanation.

“I got to know many interesting details but I’ll keep it to myself for now.

“We finished the call and I went back to finish my TV series.”

Kyvat received the phone call just as he sat down to watch an episode of Game of Thrones.
