Graydon Carter was back at the Cannes Film Festival, but as a guest rather than presiding over his perennial party as Vanity Fair editor.
Carter — who’s nearby on “garden leave” in France since exiting VF — was at HBO’s reception for its films “Jane Fonda in Five Acts” and “Fahrenheit 451” at the Carlton hotel along with Warner Music boss Len Blavatnik, Paramount head Jim Gianopulos, Arki Busson, Jean Pigozzi and Yuri Milner.
Both films received standing ovations, and, HBO’s Richard Plepler noted, their stars — Fonda, Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon — are all former faves of the network’s series.
