Alessandro Michele’s latest Gucci show was mounted in Arles, France — but the chateau it celebrated is in LA.
Models were decked out in looks that heavily featured the logo of Sunset Boulevard celebrity haunt Chateau Marmont.
A bag sent down the runway even resembled the famed hotel’s laundry bag.
“It’s probably cheaper to stay at the Chateau and steal the laundry bag than to buy it from Gucci,” joked an insider. The Business of Fashion wrote: “Did you ever imagine a Chateau Marmont laundry bag would become le dernier cri in arm candy?”
In the front row with Elton John was hotel owner Andre Balazs, who wore his own vintage Chateau Marmont bomber jacket from 1967.
