Harry Maguire mobbed as he watches brothers face each other in non-league match

Harry Maguire brought World Cup glamour to a non-league match in which his brothers tackled each other.

The England defender, 25, watched Joe, 26, and Laurence, 21, go head-to-head in a friendly between Gainsborough Trinity FC and Chesterfield.

Trinity usually attracts crowds of around 400 but more than 900 turned up after word spread that Sheffield-born Harry was there.

He tweeted: “Thanks for looking after me @GainsTrinityFC. Hope everyone enjoyed their night. Sorry if I missed anyone.”

He added it was a “great night” watching the “battle of the Maguires”.

Northern Premier League team Trinity were beaten 4-0, with Laurence among the goalscorers for National League side Chesterfield.

Down-to-earth Harry, who scored in England’s 2-0 World Cup quarter-final win against Sweden, was happy to chat, sign autographs and pose for pictures at The Northolme stadium in Lincolnshire.

It comes after the Leicester star, who is reportedly wanted by Manchester United and Liverpool, was welcomed back from Russia to a huge surprise party thrown by his loved ones.
