Inside Britney Spears' lavish 40th birthday celebrations

Britney Spears has given us an inside look into her birthday shenanigans and it looks like she is truly enjoying her freedom.

The pop icon jetted off to Mexico with her fiancé San Asghari on Wednesday to celebrate turning the big 4-0.

She previously posted some shots of her and Sam boarding the private plane as they could not stop smiling.

But now she has shared a longer clip with her 37million fans giving us a look into what happened after they landed.

In the video, we can see a beautiful display of balloons spelling ‘Happy birthday Britney’ as well as a gorgeously elaborate cake in the shape of a B, decorated with roses, pink macaroons and gold foil which the pair enjoyed on their flight.

They also shared a bottle of champagne, although Sam did not do the best job opening that one.

The loved-up couple were also welcomed by a mariachi band into a stunning home with palms adorning the courtyard.

Last night, Britney and Sam enjoyed a firework show overlooking the sea which we are sure was organised in Britney’s honour.

‘I’m so blessed and grateful !!!! Tears of joy today,’ she wrote in the caption of the video.

‘Thank you for all the b-day wishes !!!! Psss I didn’t even drink the champagne no lie !!!!’

Many of Britney’s fans and friends flooded her comments with birthday wishes and praising the star for finally enjoying her freedom.

Only a few weeks ago Britney was freed from a 13-year conservatorship which had her father Jamie Spears manage all aspects of her life, from her finances to her health and wellbeing.

The termination came thanks to the ruling of a California judge after Britney revelad in heartbreaking testimonies all the things she wanted to do when she was finally freed.

One of the things she mentioned was to go on holiday and we are glad to see that she managed to tick that off straight away.
