Jennifer Lopez wants everyone to know her Video Vanguard Award is well deserved.
The singer, who will receive the VMAs’ version of a lifetime achievement award on Monday, is going all out for her performance at the awards show and will have some help in bringing down the house.
A source tells Page Six that Lopez, 49, plans to bring out some of the most famous collaborators from her two-decade-long music career, potentially Ja Rule, Fat Joe and French Montana, just to name a few.
First presented at the inaugural VMAs in 1984, the Video Vanguard Award is presented to artists as recognition for their accomplishments in music and film. Although not always awarded annually, it has been since 2013. Past winners include Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Rihanna.
The festivities won’t stop once Lopez receives her award, thought. She intends to throw “the hottest VMAs afterparty in town” once the show ends at Radio City Music Hall.
The show airs Monday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
