Price Tag hitmaker Jessie J, 33, shared a video of her trying to sing her new song I Want Love, but sobbed as she realised how “vulnerable” she sounded. The singer was told to send a video of her singing quietly to a speech therapist, who is checking her progress.

She wrote: “Just hearing myself sing it and feel so vulnerable whilst singing bought me to tears.(sic)

“I have never ever to this day (since recording it) been able to sing it because of the pain I am experiencing.

“Man it’s been hard not singing. It’s literally my life line and my happiness.

“Being quiet is not something I’m good at. Or makes me feel like myself. Lord knows I’m loud af.”(sic)

Jessie went on to tell fans that their support had helped her during her health battle.

“I’ve always been honest, however hard it feels. It’s important to be strong enough to be weak.

“Especially on a platform like this,” she added in view of her 9.7 million followers.

The singer was diagnosed with Meniere’s disease last year.

The condition is a progressive condition that affects the inner ear and can lead to dizzy spells.

Jessie said she had initially experienced a burn in her throat, but ignored it as she put it down to fatigue.

After seeking advice from a doctor, she was told she had major acid reflux and nodules.

This had caused her vocal chords to spasm together and cause blisters.

Jessie has since turned to medication and has also undergone multiple tests to try and solve the issue.

“And I am still in the same pain everyday,” she continued.

After plenty of rest and little talking and singing, she added the nodules had melted away.

However, she’s been warned they could come back if she sings again.

She added despite her painful health battle, she forced herself to shoot the video for her new single, which left her in “agony”.

“I am not telling you this for petty, but for understanding why I haven’t done any promo,” she continued.(sic)

“I have been heartbroken to turn things down.”

She added: “I am positive I will find the reason to all of this soon.”
