Joe Hart will get the chance to stake his claim for an England recall on Saturday.
England boss Gareth Southgate is going to watch Burnley ’s clash with Bournemouth at Turf Moor with 31-year-old Hart back to some of his best form.
Hart was left out of the World Cup squad and it would still seem a tall order for him to get back into the England set-up but Southgate has publicly insisted the door is open.
Southgate has got Jordan Pickford as his No1 but there are doubts over Jack Butland after Stoke were relegated and Southampton ’s Alex McCarthy and Fulham keeper Marcus Betinelli were in the last England squad.
Hart last featured for the Three Lions in a friendly with Brazil back in November last year.
But despite Burnley’s poor run in the Premier League, Hart’s recent performances have caught Southgate’s eye.
Bournemouth pair Callum Wilson and Lewis Cook are also in the England frame while Burnley’s James Tarkowski and Jack Cork want to stake their claim.
The teams face off with Burnley sat at the foot of the table, whilst Bournemouth are flying high in fifth.
Should Joe Hart be in the next England squad?
