John Legend will replace Jennifer Hudson as a coach on the upcoming 16th season of the NBC singing competition show, The Voice.
He joins a panel of coaches that consists of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
“I’m thrilled to join the coaches of The Voice. I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times, and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL,” Legend said in a statement.
Legend, who already has 10 Grammys, an Oscar and a Tony under his belt, was elevated to the rank of EGOT winners (Emmy, Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Awards) on Sunday when he was awarded Emmy for his role in Jesus Christ Superstar Live.
