Justin Bieber went for an upstate vacation — and had to take a hike.
We hear the singer, who is on a romantic trip to Skaneateles, NY, with fiancée Hailey Baldwin, tried to rent the luxury lakeside mansion of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star Thom Filicia — but was rebuffed.
“Justin wanted to rent the home for a week, but wanted Thom to sign [a nondisclosure agreement],” says a source. “Thom told him to take a hike.”
Bieber has reportedly made guests at his parties sign NDAs, with penalties for blabbing ranging from $3 million to $5 million.
He’s also reportedly asked romantic conquests to sign the gag contracts.
The $965,000 Finger Lakes area home has been featured in a number of publications and is well-known in the tony upstate town.
But a rep for Filicia tells us, “Thom is good friends with the Baldwins and would have loved to have Justin and Hailey stay at his home. However, he was just coming off of a 16-week shooting schedule for a new design show that he’s launching on Bravo with [fellow ‘Queer Eye’ alum] Carson Kressley this October, and had planned to be in Skaneateles over that time.”
The rep continues, “When he found out that Justin had a second option to stay at, Thom felt like they would be accommodated . . . so [he] decided not to change his plans. Overall, Thom says that Justin and Hailey were lovely to have in Skaneateles, and he hopes they enjoyed the town as much as the town enjoyed them.”
Bieber hasn’t always been a good neighbor. He is still dealing with the legal fallout from allegedly egging his Calabasas, Calif., neighbor’s home in 2014.
But the Biebs has a new place to get excited about. According to TMZ, the pop star just dropped $5 million on 101-acre mansion in Ontario that includes a movie theater, game room, and its very own private horse track.
Reps for Bieber didn’t get back to us.
