Putting politics aside, Kanye West joined John Legend came together to celebrate the singer’s baby boy on the way.
“We got love. Agree to disagree,” West captioned a selfie posted Friday night of him and Legend at Chrissy Teigen‘s baby shower.
Earlier this week the two music icons let politics get in between their friendship when the “Gold Digger” rapper tweeted praise for President Donald Trump. He then posted text messages from Legend who said, ““You’re way too influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for…So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be part of your legacy.”
West then accused Legend of “manipulating” his thoughts.
“I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought,” he wrote in the private conversation that was blasted on social media.

However, days later the two were able to celebrate, at the baby bash thrown by West’s wife, Kim Kardashian.
At the shower were the two famous couples along with Kris Jenner, celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin and other friends captured in Kardashian’s snapchat and Instagram story. Legend was captured playing his hit “Ordinary People” on the piano. The gathering was complete with decorated cakes that said things like: “A Legend in the Making” and “Legendary.”
West and Legend even jammed out to his new song “Ye vs. The People,” on Kardashian’s SnapChat.
Legend and Teigen, already parents to 2-year-old Luna, are to be family of four in approximately a month.
However, Legend said last week that he’s not sure how his daughter is going handle not being the only child anymore.
“Luna’s gonna be an issue,” he said at a Tribeca Film Festival event.”I think she’ll probably have some growing pains because she’s currently running the house right now,” Legend said of 2-year-old daughter Luna while chatting with Sara Bareilles on Thursday.
