Kathie Lee Gifford got a future daughter-in-law for Mother’s Day.
The former “Today” show host announced on Sunday that her son, Cody, proposed to his girlfriend, actress Erika Brown.
“I couldn’t be happier for him and @missamerikabrown!!!” she wrote on Instagram.
In the comments, several “Today” fixtures, including Maria Shriver and Jenna Bush Hager — who replaced Kathie Lee as Hoda Kotb’s co-host— sent their congratulations.
Cody’s only sibling, his sister Cassidy, wrote, “Still freaking out.” She added on her own Instagram, “So excited for what God has in store for these two. The most excited to welcome my already sister @missamerikabrown into the craziness.”
Brown is a former competitive dancer and actress who has had roles in “Dexter,” “Hawaii Five-O,” and others, according to her IMDB profile. She and Cody have been dating for six years, since May 2013.
On Brown’s Instagram Stories, she shared that the couple celebrated their engagement with a weekend at a winery and a Florence + the Machine concert.
