Lady Colin Campbell has claimed that Meghan Markle has aspirations to evolve her career into politics and hopes to run for president someday in the future.
The 70 year old author, who wrote the 1992 best-selling biography Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows, first made the revelation to the Mail Online, where she said: "I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions and I've been told that one day she wants to run for president.
"I think everything she is doing, leaving the royal family and moving back to California is part of her plan and she has taken Harry along with her."

Speaking to Holly Willoughby, 39, and 58 year old Phillip Schofield on ITV's This Morning on Tuesday, Lady C reiterated those beliefs as she said: "I do not for one second buy that they would've gone to Hollywood for privacy because they would've had far more privacy had they remained in England."
She added: "Any fool knows that to be a fact."
Holly, who recently shared a photo of her kids returning to school amid the coronavirus pandemic, then asked about the I'm A Celebrity star's claims that Meghan, 38, wants to become the first female president of the United States of America.
The blonde beauty said: "And you've gone further to say that she may be going to run for president at some point…"
To which Lady C, who is coming out with a new book entitled Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, replied: "Well that's what she told people. She's told people that her ultimate ambition is to run for president.
"And she announced last week that she is going into politics, not withstanding the fact that no member of the British royal family is allowed to enter politics."
"She has leaked to her friends and her favourite journalists that she is going into politics. So she confirmed what I said, but I got it from somebody she instructed," she added.

Meghan and Prince Harry, 35, whose British Columbia stay coast Canadian taxpayers over $40,000 for security, announced they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family in January this year in order to gain financial independence and a more private lifestyle.
Following this, the pair moved to California, where they've been staying together with their one year old son Archie.
It is thought that Harry has been getting help from his mum Princess Diana's friend Liza Minnelli to adapt to his new situation.

A source told The Sun: "Harry has found the transition from the UK to LA very challenging at times, and lockdown hasn’t helped him establish himself yet.
"Liza reached out because she was close to Diana and offered her support. She’s been dealing with paparazzi for years, and knows the fame game.
“Obviously, Meghan comes from a theatrical background too, so it’s been great for the three of them.”
