Lauren Goodger has opened up about giving birth to her newborn daughter Larose – admitting everything happened so quickly that she wasn’t able to get glammed up like she had planned.

The 34-year-old went into labour three days early on July 20 at her home in Essex with partner Charles Drury by her side, and Larose was born weighing a healthy 8lb 9oz after a seven-hour natural labour.

But while the happy couple described the labour as “textbook,” Lauren admitted in an exclusive interview with new magazine that she wasn’t able to incorporate everything from her original birth plan into the big day.

Asked whether she was able to have a pamper session beforehand like she had detailed, Lauren answered: “I didn’t and I still haven’t got any nails on, no lashes, hair or tan.”

Lauren went on to say that she’s fully embracing life as a new mum and is purely focused on her new little bundle of joy.

She said: “I just didn’t expect she was going to come early. It’s mum life now. It’s not about me any more – it’s about her.”

The former The Only Way is Essex star continued that there also wasn’t time to set up with candles to create a relaxing atmosphere, however she’s happy with how everything turned out.

She explained: “I didn’t because I didn’t have time – the pool wasn’t even up [when the labour started].”

Lauren continued: “I had my reflexology to bring on my labour and Larose came on the 20th and she was due on the 23rd. I’m so grateful and happy my baby came three days early.”

Reflecting further on the birth, Lauren admitted it was “the hardest thing” she’d ever been through in her life.

She explained: “I had a natural home birth with no drugs and the midwife said she’d never seen someone give birth so textbook, the way I did.”

“I had a bit of gas and air, which we ran out of and they had to go to hospital to get some more but I was in my zone and I did it. From my first contraction to giving birth, it was seven hours.”

“I’m really proud of what I’ve done and I really feel like I’ve achieved something amazing and it was the perfect end result to a good pregnancy.”

Meanwhile, Charles had nothing but praise for Lauren after he watched her bring their daughter into the world.

He explained: “We had the home birth and when I watched her come out, I just broke down in tears. I couldn’t control my feelings – it was like a cloud nine feeling.”

The 24-year-old builder added that he now has even more love and respect for Lauren.

He said: “Lauren was amazing throughout the pregnancy and very happy.”

“But seeing what she went through with the pregnancy, how she coped with it and then watching her going through the labour and how she was with our little girl, it made me fall in love with her all over again.”

“It’s a crazy feeling to describe but you can’t put into words how much love I’ve got for both of them.”
