Lauren Goodger’s partner Charles ‘living in a bad dream’ as he pens tribute to baby girl

Charles Drury has paid tribute to his newborn baby girl, Lorena, after she tragically died shortly after being born.

His partner Lauren Goodger shared the devastating news on her Instagram on Sunday morning, saying that, despite a problem-free pregnancy and labour, Lorena passed away.

Lauren, 35, posted a long tribute to her daughter and dad, Charles, 24, soon followed with a moving post of his own.

Sharing a photo to his Instagram of his finger being held by Lorena's small hand, Charles wrote: "Lorena Drury – 8/7/22.

"Our beautiful baby girl so perfect in every way, 8/7/22 will always be your day. Your little heart will forever beat inside mine, I’ll love you until the end of time."

"Nothing will be the same without you, it’s like living a bad dream I can’t wake from, but your mummy & sister will keep me sane," he continued, referencing his and Lauren's 11 month old daughter Larose.

"You remind me so much like your big sister, you’d have looked like little twins, Larose will always know how beautiful & strong you were.

"I promise you i'll look after your mummy & sister forever, just look over us all & keep me strong, show me signs that you’re up in heaven where you belong. I’m sorry it had to be this way but I know we’ll be together again some day.

"This isn’t something I thought I’d ever have to write but I’m so proud to be your daddy, I’ll see you soon baby girl but for now sleep tight."

"Please give us privacy & respect in this horrible time. We’re spending it with Larose trying to keep as positive as possible," he concluded. "Thank you to all the family & friends supporting us."

Posting on her own Instagram, Lauren said she is "broken" and "will never ever get over this" in a heartbreaking tribute to her daughter.

She wrote: "Lorena R.I.P 08.07.22 she was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.

"There was no pregnancy or labour complications and she was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.

"I am broken. I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet."

"Please can I ask photographers to respect our privacy right now as we have a lot of grieving to do and funeral organising that I just need this time & with my baby girl Larose she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive…

"I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day … My Lorena I love you so much."
