Louise Minchin, 52, made BBC Breakfast weatherman Matt Taylor “blush” on the programme this morning. The TV host said she left her colleague flustered after making a remark about “steamy temperatures”, as the UK will sizzle this week in a three-day heatwave.
On Twitter Louise typed: “I think I made @MetMattTaylor blush with my mention of steamy temperatures.”
In response, fans found the incident hilarious as they urged the presenter to carry on with the “double entendre”.
One said: “Blushing here too.”
A second replied: “So funny. Louise, I am gonna miss you on Breakfast. I have enjoyed your ‘company’ for years. Love from the Netherlands!”
While a third remarked: “Heheh you did. So funny!”(sic)
Matt also retweeted the post from Louise alongside a shocked emoji.
Louise introduced the weather saying: “Matt is talking about steamy temperatures… would that be an okay way of saying it?”
Her co-star Dan Walker interrupted with: “Probably not,” and then burst out laughing.
Matt stood awkwardly before joining in with Dan’s raucous laughter.
Louise told them off: “Oh you two are just making it awkward!” which made them laugh even more.
The weatherman eventually managed to compose himself enough after Louise’s saucy remark to continue.
Matt got it together and presented the weather, but of course, Dan couldn’t resist another quip at the end about the “steamy” temperatures.

After going back to the studio, Louise laughed: “I’m not sure I’ve managed to make you blush before, Matt!”
The red-faced weatherman replied: “You’ve managed it! One week to go and you’ve done it.”
“Oh, brilliant,” said Louise as Dan and Matt set off laughing again.
Dan thought it was hilarious seeing his colleagues squirm as he confessed: “It was very enjoyable!”
Louise revealed last week that her final show will be on September 15.
She addressed some confusion from fans and said she would be printing off some of her favourite messages from them to remember her time on the show.
The BBC Breakfast star said they would help in any “dark times” ahead.
