Love Island’s Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea are “working on their relationship” and will reunite this weekend after facing rumours of a split.
The winners of the ITV2 show faced concern from fans that their relationship was over after not being pictured together for some time, with Amber, 22, and Greg, 24, still not having made their romance official yet.
Sources close to the couple have now revealed that the pair are still together, but are struggling with the long-distance, with Greg being based in Ireland and Amber splitting her time between Newcastle and London.
A source told MailOnline: “Amber and Greg haven't split – they are still very much in a relationship.
“It has been difficult for them both doing long distance but they’re much together and Amber is really looking forward to seeing Greg again and spending time with him in Ireland.”
"The insider continued: “The reason they haven't been pictured together for some weeks is because Amber is managing her time between Newcastle and London and juggling a very busy work schedule.
“Greg lives in Ireland and is concentrating on his rugby career – but they're still in constant communication and are counting down the days until they're reunited this weekend.
“Amber flies to Ireland Friday evening. Fans don't have long to wait until they're together again.”
Amber went to visit Greg in Dublin, Ireland for a weekend in August.
After getting back from the trip, Amber gushed she had the “best weekend” with the Irish rugby player.
Before travelling to Ireland, Amber revealed Greg was yet to ask her to be his girlfriend.
In an interview on Loose Women, Amber said: “We’re exclusively dating, we’re not official yet.
“Love Island is such a weird situation, we only know each other a month.”
Amber also admitted she’s not yet in love with Greg as she was quizzed about the relationship during an appearance on This Morning.
Chatting with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Amber was asked by Ruth: “Are you in love?”

Amber paused and said: “I couldn’t possibly say that.”
Ruth then asked: “But it’s going well,” to which Amber replied: “It’s going really well, but I think we just… in the villa we kept things moving slowly and we want to do the same … we don’t want to rush anything.
“But it is going really well and I do really like him,” Amber added.
When asked about being in a long-distance romance, the Geordie beauty replied: “I don’t think it’s going be easy but I think you just put the effort in.
“If you want to make it work you make it work and I’m not stuck in one place, I know he has to be in Ireland for his rugby but I’m not stuck anywhere.”
