Actress Maisie Smith has been slammed after uploading pics of her celebrating Valentine's Day with her boyfriend, The Wanted’s Max George
Max, 34, and Maisie, 21, enjoyed a sizzling date night together as they cosied up together on a huge bed on Valentine's Day.
Rose petals were scattered all over their bed and Maisie went all out as she showed off a stunning pair of red patent high heels.
Maisie showed off her natural beauty too, wearing barely a scrap of make-up as she pulled her hair back in a bun.
She looked relaxed in a white vest as Max wrapped his tattooed arms around her as they took a selfie on their bed.
But the two lovebirds have now been called out for an "inappropriate" Valentine's Day post which included a bag from the controversial brand Balenciaga.
One person commented: "Balenciaga really?? What chance do we have if people with your two platforms are sharing this!"
A second person added: "Who’s still buying balenciaga after all what’s come out."
"Please not the balenciaga," a third person wrote as a fourth user added: "Balenciaga ffs You can’t support that surely!"
It comes after the fashion brand Balenciaga was forced to apologise for a photoshoot at the end of last year, which included children holding teddy bears dressed in BDSM outfits.
This caused an outrage on social media and several people soon accused the company and its creative director, Demna, of condoning paedophilia and child exploitation.
In a separate November ad for Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2023 collection, a bag from Balenciaga's partnership with Adidas was pictured on top of what appear to be documents from the Supreme Court case United States v. Williams, which upheld the PROTECT Act, which increased federal protections against child pornography.
On November 22, the fashion house had issued two statements via its Instagram Stories apologising. The first read: “We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our spring 23 campaign photoshoot.
"We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children’s safety and well-being.”
Gabriele Galimberti, the photographer behind the holiday campaign, has been quick to distance himself from the imagery.
He released a statement saying: “I am not in a position to comment on Balenciaga’s choices, but I must stress that I was not entitled in whatsoever manner to neither chose the products, nor the models, nor the combination of the same,” he wrote.
“As a photographer, I was only and solely requested to lit the given scene, and take the shots according to my signature style.”
Maisie and Max's romantic yet controversial Valentine's Day comes after Max asked his girlfriend to move in with him in the most adorable way.
The 34-year-old made a video with the words ‘asking my gf to move in with me’ which has now been watched nearly 1 million times.
He wrote ‘Maisie’s keys’ on the tag with a little heart before dropping them into a bag of pick ‘n’ mix for her to find.
Maisie, 21, beams at the camera in the sweet clip, before reaching into the bag of sweets and having a rummage around. When she finally finds the keys she looks slightly confused before turning the label around to read it.
She then rushes to give him a huge and tells him ‘I love you’, before bursting into giggles.
Max wrote: “She’s laughing cos we tried like 10x and she kept picking sweets out”, before asking her ‘Is that a yes?”.
Maisie then confirmed her answer before leaning in for a kiss.
