Manchester City fans have taken their revenge on the Manchester United -supporting landlord who closed his pub for the Blues’ title parade – by hammering his boozer on TripAdvisor.
Sean Brett, who runs the Old Nags Head, a city-centre pub that was an old haunt of United legend George Best, closed his doors on Monday as City supporters painted Manchester blue for Pep Guardiola and his record-breaking champions on Monday evening.
He even posted a poem in the window explaining why he couldn’t stomach serving Blue Mooners.
So thirsty City fans decided to get their own back by posting negative comments on TripAdvisor, the popular website that carries reviews of hotels, restaurants and bars from all over the world.
One reviewer, john d, spoke about leaving with a “sour taste in the mouth.”
While another called Robert M wrote about the pub being populated by “a few out of town tourists who seemed confused and bewildered.”
Regualars will be hoping they get something to toast when United play Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
