Megan Thee Stallion has become the first female artist to top Billboard‘s Rap Songwriters chart, which debuted back in June of 2019.
The female rapper topped the chart dated August 22, benefiting from having songwriting credits on three songs on Billboard‘s latest Hot Rap Songs chart.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” came in a No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart with 93 million U.S. streams, a record for a song in its first week of release.
Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” featuring Beyoncé, is at No. 6 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, while her “Girls In The Hood” is at No. 15.
Billboard noted Megan Thee Stallion also hit No. 2 on the Hot 100 Songwriters chart, becoming the highest-charting female rapper since the chart’s launch in June of 2019.
