Serena Williams is bringing athleisure to Kensington Palace.
For an interview with “Today,” the tennis champion, 36, wore the $90 Royal Duchess Cropped Hoodie from her namesake clothing line — a piece the show’s host Stephanie Ruhle later revealed Williams had sent to her friend Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
The two have been good friends since they met at the Super Bowl in 2010, with Williams attending Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry in May.
The Grand Slam winner was even quoted in the former “Suits” star’s September 2017 “Vanity Fair” cover story. “Her personality just shines,” Williams explained. “I told her, ‘You’ve got to be who you are, Meghan. You can’t hide.’”
In addition to her “Serena” line, Williams also helped design her US Open outfits with Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh, dubbed the “Queen” collection. After all, the tennis pro is practically royal herself.
