Hugh Dennis has admitted he’s as chuffed as can be about his recently leaked relationship with his Outnumbered on-screen wife Claire Skinner.
But while he’s "very, very happy," his daughter Meg, 19 – who he had with estranged wife Kate Abbot-Anderson – didn’t sound quite so pleased as she broke her silence.
"I am aware of what has happened," she told the Daily Mail . "My mother does not want to talk about it. Neither do I."
Hugh, 56, separated from second wife Kate in 2015 after 19 years of marriage, while Claire, 53, split with her TV director husband Charles Palmer around two-and-a-half years ago.
The pair have two sons, William, 19, and Henry, 16, and she continued to call Charles her husband after their divorce.
According to the report, while the co-stars – who have played married couple Pete and Sue Brockman since the show’s launch in 2007 – kept their relationship out of the public eye, they did tell their exes and children.
There is no suggestion of any overlap, with friends confirming they’ve only been seeing each other for a year
"It’s the most wonderful love story, they found one another at the right time in their lives and it’s all rather sweet," a pal told the paper, revealing they are "very much in love."
They are now believed to be living together at Hugh’s £1.2million London penthouse which he bought following his split from Kate.
And he confirmed their relationship last night, stating, "I am very, very happy, we are so very happy."
"It’s nice and yes, it’s so lovely," he continued.
