Paloma Faith gets brutally honest about the realities of motherhood

After taking a break from the spotlight to do a few bits here and there (i.e, becoming a mother. No biggie), Paloma Faith is back to her old tricks and releasing new music – and we couldn’t be more chuffed for her.

Since welcoming her firstborn into the world back in 2016, who she has decided not to reveal the name and gender of to the public, Paloma has been refreshingly honest about her first plunge into motherhood in a recent interview.

Speaking with i newspaper, Paloma shared that whilst she loves her kid (obvs), being a mother isn’t exactly a walk in the park – ‘Don’t get me wrong, I love my child, but it’s hell’.

Speaking of the realities of being a mother, Paloma explained: ‘It doesn’t matter how much help you’ve got, no one can explain how lonely it feels at night when you’re waking up breast-feeding and you spend hours just wired on your own’.

She then candidly added, ‘Your hormones are going mad and your husband is usually snoring next to you. There’s so much resentment’.

Well, honesty *is* the best policy after all.

However, whilst having a child would undoubtedly change the dynamics in any marriage, Paloma then added that she and her beau Leyman Lachine have managed to adapt to their new roles.

As Paloma is back working the music industry, the lady often relies on Leyman to look after their child. She shared, ‘It’s really refreshing and uplifting and wonderful to see a man taking responsibility for a portion of your family life.’

She then added, ‘I don’t think it was realistic to think that he might ever be able to match me financially, but he’s matched me in another way.’

We don’t know about you, but its so refreshing to hear an honest account of Paloma’s journey into motherhood.
