Peter Andre has spoken out for the first time following reports he has banned his ex wife Katie Price from seeing their two children.
The dad was said to have been concerned about the impact Katie’s ‘party lifestyle’ – including her new romance with toyboy Kris Boyson – was having on Junior, 12, and Princess, ten.
Peter, 45, was said to have taken the siblings on a holiday to Cyprus for half-term and continued to keep them at the house he shares with wife Emily, rather than give them back to mum Katie, 40.
Speaking after speculation he’d refused to let them attend Katie’s boozy 40th birthday, Peter admitted he always worries about them.
He revealed in his column for New magazine: "[Junior and Princess] have gone, and will go through tough times in their lives. But no matter what, Emily and I will always provide a stable home for them.
"People can read into that how they like," he added.
Peter, who is also dad to Amelia, four, and Theo, 19 months, from his second marriage, said he keeps a strict routine when the kids are with him – especially when it comes to schooling.
"Junior had an exam last week and when we were in Cyprus, I made sure he revised every day before I let him play," said the dad.
The Mysterious Girl singer, who shares joint custody of Princess and Junior with Katie, said that he felt concerned for his little ones when they weren’t with him.
"I think any parent who doesn’t have their children all of the time will have a sense of worry," he admitted. "I’m a bit of a worrier with my kids. But my mum was actually the same," he added.
Later in the interview, Peter said he felt for Danny Dyer whose daughter Dani is now appearing in the Love Island villa.
The Aussie hunk said if Princess pulled a similar stunt when she’s older he’d probably have a ‘heart attack.’
But Peter is celebrating after landing himself an exciting new role himself.
He was recently unveiled as a voice over in the new Thomas and Friends movie.
