The King and Queen of the Netherlands are coming to the UK for a state visit for one night on October 23.
The Queen will play host to King Willem-Alexander, 51, and Queen Maxima, 47, at Buckingham Palace.
Willem-Alexander ascended the throne in 2013 and Argentina-born Maxima became the first queen consort of the Netherlands since Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1879 to 1890) and the first Latin American-born queen consort in the nation’s history.
Before the couple married in 2002, Maxima had a career in finance, having worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (now Kleinwort Hambros) in New York and the Deutsche Bank in Brussels.
She is also known for her fashion-forward style and is regularly seen wearing bold prints, block colours and wide brim hats.
Maxima has also coveted some of the best fashion designers in the world, including Tom Ford, Givenchy and Valentino.

While visiting the region of West-Friesland in June 2018, Maxima wore a dove grey dress, with a semi-sheer overlay and a hat by Fabienne Delvigne.
For the Liberation Day concert in May 2018, Maxima wore a shimmery A-line style dress by Dutch designer Claes Iversen, with a nude wide belt to cinch in her waist and block heel pumps from Salvatore Ferragamo.
For the Red Ribbon Concert, by the AIDS2018 organisations, Maxima donned a very apt asymmetric wide-leg jumpsuit by Valentino, with tie-neck detailing.
For the King’s Day concert in April 2018, Maxima chose a mixed colour striped maxi dress by Mary Katrantzou.
Maxima showcases a chic off-duty look during a family photoshoot in summer 2017. She wore a striped top by Sonia Rykiel and navy three-quarter length trousers by J. Crew.
To welcome the President of Costa Rica, Maxima wore a bold coral lace dress by Natan.
To attend King Harald and Queen Sonja’s 80th Birthday celebrations in May 2017, Maxima stunned in a blue and gold lace and satin gown, designed by Claes Iversen.
Joining the likes of Ivanka Trump at the W20 Conference in Berlin in April 2017, Maxima stood out in a red poppy printed shift dress by Natan and matching pointed pumps.
For the New Zealand state visit in 2016, Queen Maxima wore a beautiful red embellished one shoulder gown by Claes Iversen, with the Queen Emma Diamond Tiara, which was gifted to Queen Emma by her husband King Willem III of the Netherlands after he passed away in 1890, according to Order of Spendor .
