Luann de Lesseps now claims she was drugged before her Christmas Eve arrest.
The “Real Housewives of New York” star — who was collared at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla., for intoxication and battery — will say on Wednesday’s “The Dr. Oz Show” that she had spent the day of the incident drinking martinis and rosé with a pal.
But she said, “I almost think that somebody slipped me something, because I don’t remember a thing after that.”
De Lesseps — who in February rejected a plea deal over the arrest and spent time in a recovery center — said on the show that she had been stopping off in Palm Beach on her way to a wedding in Chile.
“And so I checked into the Colony, to make a long story short. I had a rosé at lunch with my girlfriend, we split a bottle of Whispering Angel, which is normal,” she told Dr. Oz. “And then there were some people there that were fans, so they send me more rosé. So I drank more than I usually would.”
The reality star and cabaret sensation said she headed to a friend’s house, “and on the way, we stop and have not one martini but two. So, by the time I get to the Colony, I was pretty sloshed and then I don’t know.”
She seemed to back off her remark that she had drunk more than usual, saying, “That’s kind of a regular kind of thing. You know what I mean? In terms of the drinking path that I was on. So I almost think that somebody slipped me something, because I don’t remember a thing after that.”
According to police, hotel security called the cops after de Lesseps was discovered with an unidentified man in a hotel room that was not hers. She allegedly shoved the cop who arrived at the scene, and then slipped out of her handcuffs.
Shortly after her release, de Lesseps tweeted, “I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior. This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding [one year previously to Tom D’Agostino Jr.] and being here brought up buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”
